Join a rapidly growing manufacturing firm as a Global Trade Compliance Manager, with a primary focus on the Americas region while also contributing to the development of a robust global trade compliance program. As a key member of the corporate Trade Compliance team, you will oversee and administer the Trade Compliance Program on a global scale, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and facilitating smooth cross-border transactions. This position will report to the Trade Compliance Director.


  • Lead the Export Controls Program across the Americas regions.
  • Guide and support the implementation of trade systems and internal control applications.
  • Develop formal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for communication with relevant government agencies.
  • Monitor and maintain trade compliance data elements in company systems, collaborating with IT and other departments.
  • Identify procedural gaps and areas for improvement in import/export processes.
  • Manage day-to-day compliance issues and provide guidance on related projects.
  • Conduct training sessions for associates on trade compliance topics.
  • Lead communication with government agencies responsible for cross-border transactions and export controls.
  • Define, implement, and conduct trade compliance audits, ensuring corrective actions are taken as necessary.
  • Collaborate with various departments to maintain operational process controls and ensure compliance with trade regulations.
  • Maintain Export Licensing, Agreements, and Authorizations in compliance with government approvals.
  • Stay informed about changes in monitored countries, restricted parties, and export control concerns.
  • Lead the setup and continuous improvement of import processes, including HTS classifications, COO, and Customs valuation policies.

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Law, Engineering, Finance, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Data Analysis, or related field.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience in import/export transactions, including at least four (4) years of direct experience in export controls.
  • Experience in systems integration and implementation, along with project management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including V-lookup, pivot tables, and data presentation.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and intelligence programs such as Tableau and Power BI preferred.
  • Accreditation for HTS classifications (e.g., Certified Export Specialist, Certified HTS Specialist, Certified Import Specialist) is strongly preferred.
