FTZ Project Manager, Trade Compliance (Aerospace & Defence)

As an FTZ Project Manager, you will oversee the intricate logistics of both foreign and domestic merchandise within our client's designated zones, ensuring seamless operations, from storage to manufacturing. Your role is pivotal in maintaining compliance with U.S. and local laws, while also driving innovation through cost-saving strategies and supporting compliance training across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Merchandise Movement: Oversee and coordinate the activities related to movements, operations, storage, exhibition, assembly, manufacturing, and processing of merchandise within foreign trade zones.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all procedures align with U.S. and local regulations, staying current with laws and administrative rulings.
  • Documentation & Coordination: Work closely with third-party providers to manage documentation requirements and facilitate smooth operations.
  • Develop Processes: Create and refine the FTZ Manual and streamlined processes that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Technology Utilization: Maintain and leverage FTZ-related software and tools to optimize workflow.
  • Metric Implementation: Develop and implement metrics for cost-saving and efficiency within the FTZ operations.
  • Training & Support: Contribute to the training initiatives aimed at enhancing compliance awareness and operational best practices.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3-5 years in FTZ operations or related roles, showcasing a strong understanding of international trade or logistics.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on generating innovative solutions.
