Role Overview
A leading organization in the financial services and trading sector is seeking a proactive financial regulations lawyer to work with two financial services businesses. This role, based in London, involves advising on financial regulation compliance matters, contributing to the development of policies and procedures for both existing and future business lines, and leading the negotiation and execution of legal documentation. The successful candidate will also be responsible for implementing group-wide policies and procedures at the business level, while working closely with senior management. Requirements
• A qualified lawyer in England & Wales with between 3-5 years PQE* at a reputable law firm and/or as an in-house lawyer within a financial services business.
• Strong academic background and training, with a good working knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment in which financial services businesses operate, including FCA-regulated brokers and dealers in derivative instruments. Knowledge of exchange-specific regulations is not a requirement but would be advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills (both verbal and written) with a demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Positive attitude, high level of integrity, and intellectual curiosity, with an openness to innovative solutions and exploring how new technologies and processes can improve the business.
