Ethics & Compliance Director

Leonid Group have recently been retained by an US-headquartered global construction market leader, to search for an Ethics & Compliance (US remote).

 

The Ethics & Compliance Director will be a key member of the Company's ’ Ethics & Compliance Team and will assist with the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of the Company Ethics and Compliance Program.

 

Primary duties will include developing and executing compliance monitoring and testing functions in collaboration with The Company’s Operations Assurance Team; analyzing risk and misconduct data and preparing periodic reports on key program metrics; conducting risk assessment, post-investigation root cause analysis, and remediation activities; providing guidance to business stakeholders as a compliance subject matter expert, and undertaking and supporting other critical Ethics and Compliance-related initiatives.

 

The position will report into Chief Compliance Officer.

 

Primary Duties

  • Perform compliance risk assessment, management, and remediation activities (30% of your time)

Serve as E&C liaison with business units and other control groups to identify, manage, and track the remediation of compliance related risks and identified compliance control weaknesses. 

  • Design and implement compliance monitoring and testing function (30% of your time)

Develop and execute monitoring and testing functions in collaboration with Company’s Operations Assurance Team. Develop and monitor E&C key risk indicators. Serve as the primary liaison with Company’s Operations Assurance Team in their support of the same.

  • Analysis and report of key E&C metrics (20% of your time)

Analyze misconduct, KRI’s, and risk landscape holistically to better understand the aggregate risk to the business. Develop ongoing reporting for senior leadership and the board regarding misconduct and risk.

  • Create and advise on compliance policies and procedures (10% of your time)

Collaborate with Company U.S. compliance professionals, cross-functional partners, and business stakeholders on ethics and compliance matters, to include the development of policies and guidelines on compliance-related topics Serve as E&C subject matter expert when advising the business. 

  • Special Projects (10% of your time)

Perform key and essential tasks as assigned by the VP Ethics & Compliance or the Chief Compliance Officer.

Undertake program initiatives as necessary to advance the Ethics and Compliance Program. 

 

Education/Work Experience

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field or JD
  • Minimum of 8 years ethics and compliance experience
  • Knowledge of and experience with compliance monitoring and testing 
  • Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) preferred but not required. Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred but not required. 

 

Knowledge / Skills: 

  • Experience developing, implementing, and/or enhancing corporate compliance programs and knowledge of compliance best practices.
  • Demonstrated ethics and integrity, with clear understanding and adherence to ethical principles, company values, Code of Ethics, and policies. The Ethics & Compliance Manager must walk the talk in terms of integrity, courage, and candor, as well as active listening with a variety of corporate functions.
  • An exceptional ability to collaborate and communicate with others, turn earlystage ideas or concepts into final deliverables, work with newer technologies, be team focused, strong analysis and project management skills, and with a strong client-focused orientation.
  • Highly motivated, efficient, and detailoriented; able to manage multiple projects and work successfully in a fastpaced environment, both collaborating as a team member and working independently.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication, presentation, and training skills required.
  • Strong technical skills including working knowledge of MS Office suite and data analytics tools.
  • Must have a proven record of directly building, managing, and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

 

Travel min is expected to be 25%
