Responsibilities:
Commercial and IP:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including sales and distribution agreements, licensing agreements, and manufacturing agreements.
- Provide legal advice and support on intellectual property matters, including patent licensing.
- Assist in addressing data privacy issues, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations across US and LATAM.
- Provide guidance on employment law matters, including employment contracts, terminations, and workplace policies.
- Stay abreast of regulatory developments in the US and LATAM regions.
- Advise the business on compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including FDA regulations.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including business leaders, R&D teams, and regulatory affairs.
- Liaise with external counsel as needed and represent the company in negotiations and legal proceedings.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to a State Bar in the US.
- Minimum of 7* years of post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years spent in an in-house legal role (PQE is given as a guide only, candidates with relevant transferable experience will be considered.)
- Strong experience in commercial and IP legal matters, preferably within the Life Sciences industry or a related sector (Regulated FMCG, Chemicals)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
