As part of a broader trade compliance transformation, the Senior Manager, International Trade Compliance – APAC will oversee trade compliance operations and initiatives throughout the Asia-Pacific region. This role ensures adherence to regional and global trade regulations, enables efficient cross-border movement of goods, and strengthens the organization’s compliance maturity across diverse markets.
Reporting to the Group Director of Compliance, this role partners with cross-functional stakeholders in Supply Chain, Legal, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, and Commercial to lead initiatives that minimize risk, improve process efficiency, and foster a strong culture of compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the regional Empowered Official, ensuring compliance with U.S. extra-territorial regulations (EAR, OFAC, ITAR) and LATAM-specific regimes like SISCOMEX and IMMEX.
- Monitor evolving trade regulations (e.g., Forced Labor acts, reciprocal tariffs) and assess business impact and readiness.
- Lead audit readiness, manage regulatory inquiries, and implement CAPAs across the region.
- Develop and maintain regional SOPs aligned with the global trade compliance framework.
- Support the global Trade Compliance Program through internal controls, self-assessments, and compliance reporting.
- Deliver trade compliance training programs and promote a compliance culture through the LATAM/NAM ITC Advocate Network.
- Ensure continuity of trade operations by backing up U.S.-based specialists and resolving cross-border trade issues.
- Strengthen compliance oversight in secondary markets and for non-automated/manual trade flows.
- Manage broker relationships and lead customs clearance coordination with logistics partners.
- Drive value creation through duty-saving initiatives, and provide regulatory guidance on new products, site changes, and supply chain shifts.
- +10 years in international trade compliance roles, preferably in regulated or manufacturing sectors
- Bs or Ms Degree in economy, business management, law, international trade, supply chain, or related regulatory fields preferred+10 years in international trade compliance roles, preferably in regulated or manufacturing sectors

- Strong command of US trade laws, including EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and Empowered Official responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to translate legal frameworks into operational controls, working across supply chain, finance, and R&D
- Familiarity with LATAM trade processes and border regulations a plus
- Proven ability to lead across regions and collaborate cross-functionally
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Spanish and/or Portuguese fluency a plus
