Leonid Group is once again privileged, to be retained by one of our biggest clients in Europe, a leading logistics company to hire an Accounting Director, Logistics based in Amsterdam.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer in the US, the Accounting Director will lead general accounting operations in the Netherlands, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with local and international accounting standards, and alignment with global finance policies for a multinational logistics organization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all general accounting activities for the Netherlands entity/entities.

Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.

Maintain compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and statutory reporting requirements.

Coordinate with the global finance team and report financial results to the Chief Accountant in NYC.

Manage external audits, tax filings, and interactions with local advisors and authorities.

Lead, mentor, and develop the local accounting team, drive process improvements and controls.

Key Requirements

10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.

Strong background in general accounting within multinational or logistics/supply chain environments.

Solid knowledge of IFRS and Dutch statutory accounting requirements.

Experience working with global reporting lines and U.S.-based headquarters.

CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
